F350 7.3 p1249 code

I am running a 50 basic tune and when I has it I get the p1249 code which is a Wastegate code. What can I do to get around this?

I've never seen this with a 50hp tune. Is this a pickup, van or Excursion? I've only seen this problem with the higher hp tunes on Excursions. After you ease up on the throttle, does the check engine light go back off?
