PAAD6 issues
Me and friend, who owns SCT Advantage 3, were comparing tunes earlier in the week. We are both using box code PAAD6 which is the 98/99 Ranger FLH2. There are lots of parameters missing from the Sniper template. Most notably Cranking PW vs ECT. My truck will only start with the accelerator floored because the cranking PW on the old 14 lb injectors is still being used for the 60's in the truck now. Could you guys fix the template and email me a copy so I can tune the truck? Thanks.

Re: PAAD6 issues
I haven't figured out how to move this post. But in the meantime, the first thing I would ask you to check is to make sure that your template level is set to "Genius".

Ok, email me requesting the template set for "Genius" along with your name (or name product was purchased under). I'll have to know who you are to be able to assign the template to you. Email: snipertuned@yahoo.com

Re: PAAD6 issues
I'm sorry, I should have checked the template before sending it to you. That is why we don't give out Genius levels. Sometimes there are parameters that we have not identified yet (as shown in your screen shot). Unfortunately, if the parameter you're looking for is not there then we must not have located it yet. I'm not sure where you got the name "Cranking PW vs. ECT" but keep in mind that our software may not label it the same. I'll check with my guys about this but they are out this week so I will not be able to get back with you soon.

Re: PAAD6 issues
I got the name "Cranking PW vs. ECT" from SCT Advantage 3. So I guess my question now is can the template be corrected to add the missing parameters?

Re: PAAD6 issues
No, it can not be added. For vehicles having the trouble that you're describing we just set the Minimum Pulse Width to 0 and bring the bottom of MAF curve down 15 %.

Re: PAAD6 issues
Chris. The Cranking PW for the 60lb injectors in the engine now are using the values used for the stock 19lb injectors. Trimming the MAF is ONLY going to interfere with the fuel trims. Knowing this, I tried it anyway. And just as I suspected, it did not work. The cranking PW needs to be changed. SCT Advantage 3 AND Binary Editor both have this table in the PAAD6 strategy.
Why does this table not exist in Commando?? Why does Special Forces not change the cranking PW to compensate for higher flow injectors? Without this table(And probably alott more, because SCT Advantage 3 has WAY more parameters than Commando for this template), the template is not complete. It's been over a year since I first inquired about this. I need a solution please. Please help, please.

Re: PAAD6 issues
As I mentioned in my previous response, we cannot add anymore parameters to the template.
Special Forces does alter the tune for higher flow injectors.
I'll get with our tuner about this but it'll be next week since he's out of town.

I'm sorry, we tried searching but without knowing the address of the table you're looking for (Cranking PW vs ECT) there's nothing we're going to be able to do.

Re: PAAD6 issues
I had to buy an Xcal and a tune. Then used the Sniper interface to retrieve the SCT tune, so I'm good now. But I had to spend $300 additional to be able to do it.
If Commando doesn't have all available parameters for CSY2 and FLH2, YOU SHOULD NOT SELL THE TEMPLATE! It's common knowledge in the Ranger community that Sniper software is incomplete for these box codes, but when I purchased the package it was not.
