If I set the tune octane to 91, and add +2 low rpm, +2 mid rpm and +1 upper rpm and set the global timing to 0 will that mean I have overall +6 low rpm, +6 mid rpm and +5 upper rpm?

That will mean you will have 2 more degrees in the mid and lower and 1 more degree in the upper. from the previous tune, the actually timing will very depending on the load.

Patrick, so if I just set the tune to 91 octane it would be around +4 all through the rpm range, and when you go back to fine tune it, the timing is set back to stock basically?

setting the octane to 91 will give you more timing than setting it to 87.
you cant really put a actual number on it , it depends on the car you are tuning and the load values .
