It don't get much easier

Post by geoffav » Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:46 pm

For those considering SF, I found it incredibly easy to set up.

I just got the updated version today but the prior version made it simple to tune my two cars. The first car I did was a 2004 Mach1 with some mod's but normally aspirated. The second car is a 2002 Mustang GT with twin turbos and all sorts of other mod's. I did them both in about 30 minutes. The Mach1 has not been adjusted further. The GT got a global fuel and spark adjustment and is running much better than it was on the chip.

I'm checking out the new version tonight. 8-)

It's funny when someone watches you change something in a tune and install it with SF. :o

I had a friend at work who works on Harleys --- he said, "now what do you do" after I was done. He really thought it would be more involved. :D

There's some people claiming anything material can't be done by drop down menus. It's just a simplified version of the background editor. :o

I honestly use it to tune cars with pulleys. Unless they want something special in the tranny, there's almost no use using Delta Force, unless the MAF or tranny functions need work.

Yea I see that on the nloc , some people just cant accept that there are better ways or more than one way to do something. I remember when everyone thought tuning in hex was the best way to tune. change is usually for the best, Im not for, still living in caves
or being afraid of falling off a flat earth.

Most of the guys I know don't trust stuff that's too easy.

If you combine inexpensive and easy they want to call it snake oil.

I'm an active member on NLOC, and have seen the countless posts stating the same thing. I just started using the Sniper special forces this weekend. I am making videos and posting my findings over there. Then off to the dyno, and the track for new times. I am posting my videos and reviews on nloc so hopefully that will put a lot of peoples minds at ease. Especially since I have zero tuning experience.

Thanks Patrick. I will for sure.
I'll do my best to document everything, to help put the Lightnings guys mind @ ease.

Went to a Lightning meet this past weekend, and showed about 8 L guys, and they were impressed. So I think you might have a few more L's coming soon.
