using stock MAF with 42lb injectors?

Postby heelflip101 » Wed Oct 10, 2007 12:12 am

I noticed that special forces gives you the option to use the stock MAF with 42lb injectors. I am still piecing together my turbo kit and don't want to buy a MAF if I don't have to. Also should I do a blow through or draw through MAF? I would assume Blow through but I have heard that cause idle problems. Also could I run nitrous with the turbo if I pulled timing? How much Neg two degrees for ever 50hp?

What you need to be careful of is that the MAF you will use will not pegg the 5 volt limit. depending on how much HP you going to make will determine the MAF diameter you will need.

what kinda car do you have? i would not use the stock maf with 42lb injectors. but then again, I have a ZX2, so I don't know with what you have if you can do that or not.

I'm hoping to get a set of 42 lb injectors and go with the Sniper MAF.

I have a Zetec focus, I should have the same MAF as you.

no you will need to have someone with Commando or Delta Force adjust the MAF transfer and send the file back to you.

How much will that cost? Who wants to do me a favor? i have heard you can use a larger MAF housing. On the focus forums some people are using 3 inch, how would I tune for that?

a meter from a ford lightning would probably work well for you and the transfer function is already in the SF software....

Yeah that was what I was originally going to, I'm trying to find the least costly solutions so I can have it together for Christmas.
