Adaptive control switch

Post by Mustang67s » Sun Feb 14, 2016 8:25 pm

I would like to know if I should turn on the adaptive control switch after tuning? Also should closed loop be on after tuning also? Thanks for any input.

People tune both ways. It really becomes a preference with the tuner. When finished, we like to keep the vehicle in closed loop.

Thanks Chris, if you don't mind me asking would adaptive control hurt anything if it is turned on? or would it be best if it is off, not sure what all it controls. Also what would I look at in my tune to make sure it is not in open loop only. Thanks.

If turned on, Adaptive learning will not hurt anything and we feel that it should be left on.
Other than a AFR gauge (higher than 14.64) to tell whether you're in open loop or not, you can check the "Open Loop vs Load" Function. I've attached a screen shot of that.

Thanks Chris. I will turn on adaptive and give it a go. My tune is running well so far just trying to check on some smaller items in the tune.
