NOS 2003 Cobra and Commando

Postby shaneb » Wed Oct 10, 2007 4:11 pm

Anyone know an easy way of making timing retard for NOS use using a RPM window. That way I don't have to do it globally. Also what are safe thresholds aroudn the RPM window etc.

Thanks,

Shane

Just subtract the amount of timing from your borderline table in the load and RPM ranges you are running the nitrous. The load will depend on how you have it set up.... anything above 1.0 is boost usually unless you are doing tricks for big maf meters... datalogging first will be the sure way to check.

Wouldn't the spark table need to changed for all loads to be safe since the RPM window switch and TPS should be a full load? Just as a safety in case something happened with the TPS?

well you said you din't want to do a global retard right.... so why retard it during cruise loads and moderate loads. You will be at high load at high throttle and your spray activates at WOT only.......

Maybe I'm confused?

Yep that's how I do it. What is your window switch set at? I do the 2 higher load rows and remove the amount of timing proportional to the size of the shot within the RPM area of the window switch. Always test without nos first and log to ensure timing is pulled where you want it.
