they this

1-2 Race -2-3 race and 3-4 race, thats how i run it shifts better then mild. also may i suggest running for spark +2 +2 +2 and +1 Globally with no fuel system modifications unless your running a modified engine. Or did you have this dyno tuned? just not a good idea to randomly ad fuel and spark otherwise.

also add about 100 rpm to ur shift rather then +6 mph this will make sure your transmission drops right into your power band on shift also are you stock gears or after market ratio?

shifting by rpm just is easer to track to make sure u land in the power band when u hit then ext gear as well as the +2 for all 3 rpm ranges and +1 globally means that you will have a +3 advance on all 3 ranges at WOT with a +1 advance at Part throttle or cruzing speed. and i dont recommend touching the fuel unless you have had it dyno tuned cuz addin fuel or subtracting it blindly can cause alot of issues as well as power loss

well when i talked to the sniper tech rep i beleive it was chris but may have been pat that emailed me back they recommended me to use +2, +2, +2 and +1 globally and recommended that i do not change the fuel. this was for 91 octane they said that the tune for the octane rating will add the amount of fuel it needs the timing is just a little more aggressively tweaked.

you can also try +3,+3,+3 and global +1 and see how it runs if there is a ping drop it back a degree at WOT

You guys realize that when you add the +2, +2, +2, and +1 global timing that you are adding that on top of the timing advance (usually 3-4 degrees global) that the 91 octane tune comes with. That is a lot of timing and you might actually be losing horsepower. Too much timing is not good.

yah im aware of that like i said i talked to Chris and he suggested the +2,+2,+2 +1 global for a more aggressive tune.

Of course every engine is different and your 3.8 probably likes more timing than a 4.6 DOHC for example. Does your engine have knock sensors?

yes it has a knock sensor. i think all newer vehicles have one these days to help the pcm adjust for poorer quality fuel.

OK well then you can't really go by "ear" to tell if you have too much timing because the knock sensor/s will pull timing before it pings. So you really need datalog your car to see what is going on with it because you don't know if your car is pulling timing or not. Until then, I would back off the timing a bit in my opinion. BTW, I used to own an 01 Stang 3.8 convertible with Magnaflow catback, CAI, pulleys and 3.73 gears. It was a lot of fun and surprised many rice rockets. It ran a 15.6 at 88mph in the 1/4 mile on Nitto 555R 245/45/18.

Ive used the recon, adjusted the timing and have data logged and i don't see it pulling timing. And yes, ive surprised a few ppl in my car. My mechanic was impressed when i took him for a spin. but then again the 4.10's really give it a kick in the [I have a potty mouth].
