Re: maf calibration
The problem is that you put the crown vic maf sensor into a larger diameter pipe. That sensor is calibrated from the factory for a specific size pipe and since you changed that it will not run correctly. Unless you have the Commando tuning software then I would advise getting a MAF that's supported ...

I spoke with you on the phone this morning. Glad we got it figured out.
For those wondering what the problem was, it appears that his stock file had gotten corrupted. Replaced it with a new one and now back working properly.

Re: Open Loop Lean Condition
Ok, those fuel pressure numbers look good. The '96 is a little goofy with afr. I'd like to hear the afr numbers when you're able to check that. Even though the trims are showing you that, the afr shouldn't be going too lean. You have a stock vehicle (besides x pipe) and even a stock tune should not ...

Re: Open Loop Lean Condition
It's pretty rich at top wot and the rest looks good.
When it goes lean does it stay that way or are they just lean spikes every so often?
Fuel pressure would definitely need to be checked.

Stock MAF on the car?
Stock injectors on the car?
Fuel pressure dropping during a wot run?
Does the Stabilized Open Loop Fuel Table show lean values at the rpm range you're referring to?

You don't need to fax it but I do need the 8-digit hardware fingerprint and the name that the software is registered under. You can provide that here, email me at snipertuned@yahoo.com or give us a call at 407-321-5725.

Re: MAF transfer function
The Lightning 80mm MAF xfer is different than the Mark VIII. I've attached a screen shot of the Mark VIII MAF xfer. The numbers not being exactly what you're inputing is normal with our software. There's nothing to worry about if the kg/hr is off a few values. However if you insist on having the exa...

Re: Fuel Trim #'s
Unlike other data loggers, our Recon uses Ford numbers thus the reason you see 50-55. So, if you're using our Recon the 50 is perfect. 55 would represent that you're 5% off.

Re: OBD II Mil/Test Switches
This is a difficult subject so I'll do my best explaining with cliff notes. There are "basically" 8 OBDII tests. Catalyst monitor, comprehensive component monitor, purge monitor, secondary air monitor, fuel monitor, ego monitor, egr monitor and misfire monitor. Each monitor is assigned a bit within ...

Re: Disable PATS?
The Special Forces kit does allow you to disable the PATS. However, the earlier vehicles (96-99) were hit or miss with the results. Because of this, unfortunately I could not say with 100% certainty that our Special Forces kit would do this for you.

The template has to be authorized for you in order for it to work. Because of this, the template needs to come from us. However, I show that you're suppose to have a RYAF0 template not RYAF1.

Re: microsoft.jet.oledb4.0 not registered??
You get this error message when you're using a laptop with a 64bi OS. The Recon does not work with a 64bit OS. You must use a 32bit OS laptop to use the Recon.
