Re: automatic transmission programming limits....

Unfortunately that 127mph is not able to be raised. Have you looked into (or heard of) the OptiShift (now called US Shift)? http://www.usshift.com/usq4.shtml

I can email you the program but I'll need to know what name it's registered under.

Re: transferring template.

Yes, no problem. Just install on the new laptop/pc and then provide me the 8-digit hardware fingerprint. Send to: snipertuned@yahoo.com. In the email, make sure you provide the name that the software was registered under.

Re: windows 10

The Recon has been discontinued so it will not be updated to work with the 64bit OS. If you have version 23 of the tuning software (not Recon) then it will work fine with Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Re: maf calibration

That's very high pressure. The software should not effect fuel pressure at all. If you want, you can email me the tune that you created and I can take a look at it. I can check to see if anything looks unusual or not right. If you want to send it, send to: snipertuned@yahoo.com. Be sure to include a...

Re: maf calibration

That is pretty strange. Are you sure the injectors are 80 lb/hr?
In the software, did you select the 72 or 83 injector size? Have you tried both (make a difference)?

Re: maf calibration

Yes, you would select 80 (72 or 83) for the injector size and 90mm Lightning. Just to confirm, the 90mm Lightning MAF you're using is still in the Lightning housing? You didn't remove the sensor from the Lightning housing and install into the intercooler piping? Are you sure the meter is good? If it...

Re: maf calibration

With such big injectors I'm sure the performance tune is going to need some tweaking. Unfortunately, Special Forces doesn't give you full control. You would need the Commando software for that. However, have you done any of the fine tune adjustments in the Special Forces software? If not, try..... +...

Re: Having trouble getting bullet back

As long as your laptop is 32bit then the Recon should be working. It's possible that there is something wrong with the Interface box. We'd be happy to check it out and replace it if necessary. No charge for this but I would need to get the Interface from you. Before sending it, make sure that you do...

Re: Having trouble getting bullet back

Did you load the stock file from position 6 of your Interface or another position? Is the stock file that you loaded into your truck the actual stock file that was originally read from the truck (not one that may have been emailed to you)? Do you know whether the pcm in your truck is original or a r...

Re: maf calibration

The problem is that you put the crown vic maf sensor into a larger diameter pipe. That sensor is calibrated from the factory for a specific size pipe and since you changed that it will not run correctly. Unless you have the Commando tuning software then I would advise getting a MAF that's supported ...

I spoke with you on the phone this morning. Glad we got it figured out.

For those wondering what the problem was, it appears that his stock file had gotten corrupted. Replaced it with a new one and now back working properly.

Re: Open Loop Lean Condition

Ok, those fuel pressure numbers look good. The '96 is a little goofy with afr. I'd like to hear the afr numbers when you're able to check that. Even though the trims are showing you that, the afr shouldn't be going too lean. You have a stock vehicle (besides x pipe) and even a stock tune should not ...

Re: Open Loop Lean Condition

It's pretty rich at top wot and the rest looks good.
When it goes lean does it stay that way or are they just lean spikes every so often?
Fuel pressure would definitely need to be checked.

Stock MAF on the car?
Stock injectors on the car?
Fuel pressure dropping during a wot run?
Does the Stabilized Open Loop Fuel Table show lean values at the rpm range you're referring to?
