Re: Post polls on other sites...

Recently I've noticed several boards getting heat from sponsor members who are SCT dealers. Sniper talk is frowned on and recommendations are treated as fiction. At least one site has somewhat banned a guy for Sniper positive posts. It's down right hostile out there sometimes. :o

Re: Tuning Knowledge = Power

It is frustrating to figure some of this stuff out. I pick up a bunch here and could probably learn more if I would just ask the questions. In my line of work, folks put a premium on doing research. As you pointed out, it's a bear to find tuning details.

I'm up for that, I have a few books already but they all leave some holes. You can't know too much. :D

Re: Update?

I would like everyone to know that Mattr66 was able to provide me with a tune that not only works great, it only took him two tries. My sincere thanks goes to Mattr66. I wish I knew half of what you do about tuning. I also apologize to Chris at Sniper for my impatience with Recon. I am still anxiou...

Re: Fore Precision Side Scoop Inserts

Fits:
1999 Mustang GT Anniversary Edition
2001-2004 Mustang GT, Rousch, Steeda
2003-2004 Mustang Mach 1
2003-2004 Mustang Cobra

So perhaps not. As I recall the 35th Anniversary Edition had scoops like the Mach1.

Re: I there any possible reason for LEAVING the car in OPEN loop

It would seem the tuner (according to the car owner) went OL because the car had bad o2 sensors and it would save the owner $200ish. This is a street driven car with mostly drivetrain mods. I don't get it. :o

Re: I there any possible reason for LEAVING the car in OPEN loop

three things... 1. didnt know you could turn off the 2 front O2's 2. turn off adaptive and it is about the same thing I do believe 3. why would anyone WANT to tune a EFI car like a carb?? why lose all the good stuff of EFI....hmmmmm? I agree it don't make much sense to me. After reading some later ...

I there any possible reason for LEAVING the car in OPEN loop

I was reading a thread on another board today and a member of that board says his tuner has permanently "turned off" ALL 4 of his O2 sensors. The car is a street driven mildly modified 04 Mach1. He was sure that it was not forced open loop for tuning but tuned to forever run OL. I've never...

Re: Update?

oh well, hopefully people can just leave it alone long enough that they can get it done. I assure you when I talked to chris yesterday, they are working on it. I don't blame you, I'm not boiling, and I do care but I got my answer from guys I trust. I'm gonna sit back and let them get it done. I thi...

Re: Software Shuts Down

I've had no issues using Commando on a notebook with Vista Home Premium. I don't usually save files to the desktop but did it some just to see what happens. No issues for me. :geek:

I usually have issues so this is new territory for me. :D

Geoff, Thank you for sharing these! That's the direction I was going to go, except maybe as a thick client or intranet based DB application--Access or Open Office.base are good for these sorts of private/small workgroup database apps as well... I keep a notebook and try to document everything I do ...

Re: Bullet question

Thanks Chris, I couldn't upload the stock tune to position number 7 for some reason but then I uploaded it to position 3 no problems. Yeah, position 7 is only for the trucks with the 6.0 liter Powerstroke engine. When you read one of those vehicles, the transmission tune is saved to position 7. I a...
